Roaslia - Berghain

With "Berghain," Rosalía has recorded a track far removed from classic Latino sounds or pop music. "Berghain" is more like an opera, for which she enlisted the support of Björk and Yves Tumor. Rosalía thus establishes herself as an artist who not only crosses genre boundaries but redefines them.

For the orchestral force of the piece, Rosalía worked with the London Symphony Orchestra. It begins with angry, dissonant staccato from the London Symphony Orchestra strings and massive timpani beats, over which Rosalía sings in German: "Seine Wut ist meine Wut. Seine Liebe ist meine Liebe. Sein Blut ist mein Blut." (His anger is my anger. His love is my love. His blood is my blood.) According to her, it is a prayer to the night.

In the second part, Björk sings in her typical style that salvation can only come through divine intervention, before Yves Tumor concludes the song with the electronically distorted exclamation "I f... till you love me." These final lyrics are then underscored by powerful timpani strikes.

Queen already showed with "Bohemian Rhapsody" that one can achieve success with opera music. Rosalía is also enjoying great success with her piece.
