Paolo Nutini - Afterneath

Chaos becomes chords. Paolo Nutini shows how this works in his piece Afterneath...
Paolo Nutini - Afterneath

I first came across Paolo Nutini in 2007. Back then, Jenny, don't be hasty from the album "These Streets" was playing up and down. Afterneath is much less accessible and certainly does justice to the genre "alternative rock" attributed to it.

Basically, the song begins a little like movie music. Violin, a soundscape of drums and distorted guitars and vocals that are more reminiscent of a scream. However, this picture changes as the beat begins to carry you along until a female voice appears in the foreground. The recording plays with these foreground and background effects the whole time and our soundbar reproduces them clearly and distinctly.

However, this song is the only one on the album "Last Night in the Bittersweet" that is a little more difficult to access. That's why I particularly like it again 😉

Born in Scotland in 1987, the singer of Italian descent knew early on that music was his life and signed his first record deal at the age of 18. His smoky voice is reminiscent of another famous Italian - Adriano Celentano - and you wonder what you have to do to sound like that? He already did that during his performance at the Live Earth concert in 2007.
