Margaret Glaspy - Sharp Knife

Song Like a Scalpel: In “Sharp Knife”, Margaret Glaspy cuts deep through emotional entanglements—both musically and lyrically, an absolute masterpiece of dynamics and transparency.
New York-based Margaret Glaspy has long established herself as one of the most powerful voices in modern indie rock. She is known for her unvarnished, honest sound and her masterful control of the electric guitar.
In “Sharp Knife”, she highlights how people who show vulnerability or are perceived as “different” or special in any way must always carry a shield to avoid sinking in conflict situations. Always being prepared—for example, by keeping a sharp knife on hand.
Musically, the track features an arrangement centered on voice and piano. Glaspy’s raw, unmistakable vocals are mixed right at the forefront, supported by the piano. Our soundbar renders the soundstage with extreme three-dimensionality.
