I am Kloot - Avenue of Hope

The guitar starts, the piano joins in and then John Bramwell's voice reaches your ears. Simply cool....

This gem can be found on I am Kloot's third album. I am Kloot are from Manchaster and make - largely unnoticed by the public - very good pop music. Hope has rarely sounded more hopeless than in this song and so it was used in the soundtrack to the movie Sunshine, which tells the story of the end of the sun and mankind's last attempt to get the sun going again. The sparse instrumentation leaves plenty of room for excellent sound and the right feeling for the end of the world.

The origin of the band's name can be found on the I am Kloot website: "I Am Kloot" is a card game for left-handers that became famous through the diaries of Jerome K.. I discovered I am Kloot in a list of the best albums of the year 2000 and have been listening to them regularly ever since.

Not only the origin of the band's name, but also the video below not only gives you information about the band, but also an impression of what a real artist's soul is like. Quirky and interesting at the same time.
