Jason Grave – What could possibly go wrong Albumart Cover
At the KKL in Lucerne, the City Light Orchestra conducted by Anthony Gabriele and the Boys Choir Lucerne, which has been expanded to include several female voices, performed classic game music for us, accompanied by brilliant excerpts from the games on screen. We heard everything the genre has to offer: Leage of Legends, Guild Wars 2, Ori and the blind Forest, Bioshock, Assasins Creed, World of Warcraft and a few more – and even the excerpt from the horror game Until Dawn. Designed for the PS4, the 2015 game offers the typical “I know what you did last summer” plot. The picture quality is excellent and the soundtrack by Jason Grave matches the calm and breathtaking moments of shock. Logically, things get off to a gloomy start. A light through the harp playing, which then starts the arc of suspense. The strings play right next to the bridge, creating a creaky sound and then…..Boom. It continues with weird strings, blatant trombones and cool percussion sounds. Everything a loudspeaker needs to deliver to sound good is called upon with high dynamics. The soundboard plays it effortlessly.
