WM-2022: Japan

From a Western perspective, Japan is often crazy and extreme. At least the first title underlines this in the video....
Flag Japan

Any attempt to limit the Japanese music scene to one title is bound to fail. Anything is possible in Japan between tradition and craziness. For example, Kana-Boon with Japanese rock music. The group was founded in 2008 and has been touring successfully in Japan ever since. Some of their tracks have been chosen as songs for animated films.

Yoasobi has also made a name for himself in the field of animated films. For the platform monogatary.com, a social media platform for stories, Sony Music wanted to form a music group to set some of these stories to music. Ayase and Ikura are two musicians who have been very successful in writing music for the published stories. With their debut single, "Yoru ni Kakeru", released in 2019, they immediately reached the top of the charts in Japan.
