Yothu Yindi is an Australian band that was founded in 1986 by singer and songwriter Mandawuy Yunupingu and in which the indigenous people of Australia, the Aborigines, a collective term for various indigenous peoples of Australia who inhabited Australia before its discovery by so-called modern civilization, took part.
